This month at Jolt

2026 is off to a great start, and we want to give a big welcome to all the new faces who joined the gym in January, we’re excited to have you as part of the community!

You may also notice that our name change to Jolt Fitness is continuing, including the name change across our social channels!

The Open is Coming!

The CrossFit Open is a worldwide fitness event where athletes of all levels complete the same three workouts over the course of three weeks, with options for scaled movements so everyone can participate.

We’ll be doing the Open workouts together as a gym on Saturday mornings: 2/28, 3/7, and 3/14, making it a fun, high-energy community experience.

Registration is not required to participate, but we highly recommend signing up so you can officially log your scores, see how you stack up worldwide, and track your progress year over year. You can register for the Open here: Open Registration Link

Important Dates

February 28th, 9:00am:

Let's kick the Open off with a bang! Only one class for Open Workout 26.1. Come ready to compete and cheer on your fellow Jolters!

February 28th, 8:00pm:

The Golden Gates party is back! An age-old Jolt tradition of lore with food, drinks, music, and who knows what else. Cost is $115 per person. See Anna if you have any questions.

When did you start CrossFit?

I started CrossFit about 15 years ago when our son, Andrew, said we should try it.

What do you like the most about Jolt Fitness?

The main thing I like about Jolt is the sense of community. Everyone is very supportive and helpful. The coaches are terrific in modifying workouts if needed and also giving you a nudge when they know you can do a bit more or go a little further.

What is your favorite movement?

My favorite movement is a handstand.

Do you have any goals that you want to accomplish in 2026?

My goals for 2026 are to try to go to the gym 4-5 a week and to try to get a kipping pull up!

What do you like to do besides working out?

If I’m not working out, I love  going for walks or taking dance lessons! I also enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Would you rather row 10,000 meters or bike 500 calories? 

I’d much rather row 10,000 meters than go on the bike!
