July 2026 Newsletter

This month at Jolt

We're heading into the second half of the Terminus Cycle, and it's time to see what you're made of. We'll cap it off with the AFT (Annual Fitness Test) Strength Gauntlet: Hang Clean, Strict Press, Chin Over Bar Hold, and more. This is your chance to test your progress and push toward new limits, so let's make it count!

We also want to give a big shoutout to our first ever Jolt Yoga class. It was a huge success, and we loved seeing everyone stretch, breathe, and recover together. The best part? There are more classes on the way, so keep an eye on the schedule. Let's make it a strong month!

Important Dates

July 3rd:
Only two classes, 6:30am and 9:30am. No evening classes.

July 4th:
NO Classes. Enjoy your Fourth of July 🇺🇸

When did you start your weightlifting journey?

I started lifting in high school. Hunterdon Central had a great strength and conditioning coach that worked with the athletes and sparked my interest in the barbell. I took a break after college and came back to lifting at Cornerstone with another great coach and continued lifting after joining CrossFit in 2020.

What do you love most about being part of Jolt?

The people, without a doubt. Everyone was incredibly welcoming from day one, and the community Anna has built is really something special. It's a group of genuinely interesting, hardworking, and fun people who make suffering through workouts enjoyable. I also can't leave out the summer towpath bike rides to and from the gym.

What is your favorite movement?

I think everyone knows this by now…overhead squats.

What other sports did you used to play?

A little bit of everything when I was younger but focused on riding horses, basketball, and track and field for high school and college. Now reliving my glory days with the Jolt softball team and working on gymnastics.

What is your favorite high-protein snack?

I am lucky to have an amazing in-house chef…Sean, so whatever he is cooking or a whole chicken in our Set It and Forget It Rotisserie (yes, the one from the infomercials).

Would you rather do 500 Toes to Bar or 500 Chest to Bar?

500 T2B, C2B would take entirely too long, and I’d like to finish before retirement.
