October 2026 Newsletter
This month at Jolt
We just kicked off the Persist Cycle, and the name says it all. Over the coming weeks we'll be building toward some big benchmarks: Snatch 1RM, Bench Press 5RM, Front Squat AMRAP, and a Pyramid retest. This is where consistency pays off, so keep showing up and let's see those numbers climb. We also want to send a huge thank you to everyone who came out for our Second Annual Deaf Awareness Month WOD!

What made you walk into Jolt for the first time?
I'd never found a workout routine I enjoyed before. My two closest fiends both do CrossFit locally where they live and the recommended I give it a try.
What sports did you do in the past?
I was a hockey goalie in high school and in college I switched to playing Rugby as a forward.
What do you love most about Jolt?
If I can get myself there, the coaches and the community take care of the rest. Great people, individual instruction even in a group, lots of fun, and lots of variety keep me coming back.
What is your favorite movement?
I'm torn between deadlift and back squat.
What's one thing you wish you knew when you started training?
I wish I knew it was there sooner. There were plenty of false starts and wasted time trying other places. If I'd known this place was here, and how much I was going to enjoy it, I would have started sooner.
Would you rather do 10 minutes max effort echo bike or 30 minutes steady pace row at 2:00/500m?
Row, every time. It's probably the only pure cardio I've ever liked. Plus, I think the bike is trying to kill me.
